INTERMEDIATE LEVEL I A fast and immersive class. The focus of this class is on building conversation skills and mid-level grammar including the passato prossimo, imperfetto and imperativo. Each week's lesson includes in-class conversation practice based on topics students prepare in advance. Combine it with our one-hour Intermediate 01 course to learn the language faster.

CULTURAL CLUB This class invites students to talk in Italian about art and culture in their multiple aspects. We will discuss classic and contemporary Italian art and artists, Italian cultural traditions, events and more. Together we will reflect on details of work of art that we may not otherwise have noticed, examining the work in the historical context in which it was created while satisfying our intellectual curiosity about the artist, her or his ideas, the emotions they evoke and techniques they used.

BOOK CLUB This circolo is based on three words: read, share, learn. Reading  Italian literature is an excellent way to practice the language and feed your passion for the culture of the Bel Paese. In Circolo del libro, you’ll exchange opinions and cultural interpretations with other readers who wish to experience an unusual shared and constructive reading experience. The books we read are selected to reflect many different human experiences, time periods and writing styles. Past authors have included La Linea del Colore by Igiaba Scego, Memorie di Una Cameriera by Dacia Mariani and La vita bugiarda deli adulti by Elena Ferrante.

CINEMA CLUB Expand your knowledge of French language through cinema! The films we watch at home each week serve as a catalyst for thought-provoking cultural and linguistic examination in class. In discussing these films, students improve their ability to express themselves and become more familiar with the rich culture of French. What makes this class of French films special is that each 7-week course examines a specific cinematic theme.
