CANCELLATIONS, CREDIT & REFUNDS

Before a course begins: If you cancel your enrollment, you will receive a course credit for the full amount paid.

After a course begins: If you withdraw from a course after it has started, you will receive a course credit for the remaining classes. The credit will be calculated proportionally based on the number of classes still to be held when you cancel.

Course credit: Credits are valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. Please contact us at classes@acommonlanguage.net to arrange your credit.

Special circumstances: We understand that health concerns, changes to your work schedule, or other unexpected circumstances may affect your ability to attend. If you would like to request a refund, please contact us. We review these requests individually, taking into account the classes already provided.

If we cancel a course: If A COMMON LANGUAGE cancels a course, you may choose between a course credit and a refund.

Your rights: This policy does not affect any cancellation or refund rights you may have under applicable law.

PRIVACY POLICY

Information you provide: When you contact A COMMON LANGUAGE, register for a class, or sign up for our newsletter, you may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, and details related to your class or inquiry.

How we use your information: We use this information to respond to inquiries, manage registrations and payments, send confirmations and class updates, and provide our educational services. Your teacher may also use your contact information to share class materials or communicate with you about your lessons.

Newsletter: You may choose to receive our newsletter by signing up through our website or selecting the newsletter option when you register. Newsletter subscription is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a newsletter email.

Service providers: We use services that help us operate our school and website, including Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Mailchimp, Zoom, and PayPal. Depending on the service, these providers may process information needed for website operation, scheduling, email communications, online classes, or payments.

Payments: Online payments made through our website are processed by PayPal. A COMMON LANGUAGE does not collect or store your credit card numbers or PayPal login credentials. We may access transaction information through PayPal, such as the payer’s name, the amount, and the date of payment, for administrative and accounting purposes.

How long we keep your information: We may keep your name, contact details, and class history after your course ends to manage our records, support your return to classes, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations. We keep this information for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
